ENGINE 31 – 2006 International 4400 / Crimson Fire

Engine 31 was purchased new from Crimson Fire (Spartan ER) in 2006 and is currently the 1st out apparatus for all structure fires in the district. It was purchased with funds received from a 2005 grant awarded from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

Engine 32 was purchased new from Fire Master Fire Equipment, Inc. in 1986 and is currently the 1st out apparatus at Station 2.

TENDER 31 – 2011 Kenworth T-370 / Fouts Bros Fire Equipment

Tender 31 was purchased new from Fouts Bros Fire Equipment in 2011 and is currently the 2nd out Tender for structure fires in unincorporated areas and the 1st out apparatus for automatic aid structure fires in unincorporated areas.

TENDER 32 – 2022 Freightliner M2-106/Fire Master Fire Equipment, Inc.

Tender 32 was purchased new from Fire Master Fire Equipment, Inc. in 2022 and is currently the 1st out Tender for structure fires in unincorporated areas and the 1st out Tender for grass/brush fires and 1st out Tender for Butler County Task Force 3 requests.

Tank 34 was purchased new in 1996 from Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc. and is currently stationed a Station #2.

BRUSH 31

BRUSH 31 – 2007 Ford F-350 4X4 / Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc.

Brush 31 was purchased new in 2007 and grass fire fighting bed manufactured by Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc. was moved from a 1980 Ford chassis. Brush 31 is currently the 3rd out grass/brush truck.

BRUSH 32

BRUSH 32 – 2010 Ford F-350 4X4 / Emergency Fire Equipment

Brush 32 chassis was purchased new in 2010 and the grass fire bed, which was manufactured by Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc. was moved from Pickup 33 by BCFD#3 personnel. Brush 32 is currently the 2nd out grass/brush truck.

BRUSH 33

BRUSH 33 – 2003 Stewart & Stevenson LMTV / Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc.

Brush 33 was received at no cost from the Kansas Forest Service through their Fire Fighter Property (FFP) program in early 2021. The stock bed was removed, and a new bed, tank, pump and emergency lighting was installed by Emergency Fire Equipment, Inc. Brush 33 is currently the 1st out grass/brush truck and 1st out grass/brush for Butler County Task Force 3 requests.

RESCUE 55
Station #1

RESCUE 55 – 2018 Ford F-550 Super Duty 4X4 / Maintainer Custom Bodies

Rescue 55 was purchased new in 2018 from Maintainer Custom Bodies (Ward Apparatus/MCB). Rescue 55 is one of five rescue trucks located in Butler County and carries a full complement of extrication tools and equipment as well as ice, cold water and high angle rescue equipment. It is also equipped with a tower scene light and a SCBA cascade system and fill station. It carries advanced life support (ALS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Rescue 55 is first out for medical 1st responses, injury motor vehicle accidents (MVA’s), and any other emergency requiring a rescue response.


LADDER 34

LADDER 34 – 1987 Sutphen with a Detroit Diesel

Ladder 34 was originally purchased new by the Wichita Fire Department in 1987 (former Quint 8) who then sold it to Andover Fire-Rescue (former Quint 10) who refurbished it around the 2005 time frame. BCFD#3 purchased Ladder 34 from Andover Fire-Rescue in 2016. It is currently the 2nd out apparatus for structure fires in the city of Rose Hill. It is equipped with a 75-foot aerial ladder.

COMMAND 30

COMMAND 30 – 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV 4X4

Command 30 was purchased new and up-fitted by Superior Emergency Response Vehicles (SERV) in early 2022 and is stationed at Chief Webster’s residence, which is located within the city limits of Rose Hill near SW 150th St and Butler Rd.

Command 31 was purchased new in 2000 and is currently stationed at Deputy Chief Linot’s residence. It is equipped with basic life support (BLS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Command 32 was purchased used in 2022 and is currently stationed at Lieutenant Leis’ residence. It is equipped with advanced life support (ALS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).


TRENCH RESCUE TRAILER
Station #1

Fire department trench rescue trailer in apparatus bay.

TRENCH RESCUE TRAILER – 2004 Wells Fargo

This trailer was purchased new in 2004 and is used for storing and transporting trench rescue equipment. Fire District # 3 personnel constructed storage space and shelving inside the trailer that holds shoring and equipment needed for trench rescue and structural collapse rescue operations. BCFD#3 is the primary trench rescue response team for Butler County.
