Fire Chief Kevin Webster
Chief Webster started his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter in 1993. He was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in 1996, promoted to Fire Captain in 2004 and promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in 2019. He was hired as the department’s third full-time Fire Chief in July of 2020. He is a native of Butler County, having lived in or around Rose Hill his entire life. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Pittsburg State University in 1986 and has multiple fire certifications. From 1994 – 2012, he volunteered as an EMT / EMT-I / AEMT with Butler County EMS. He is currently serving a Governor-appointed four-year term as a member of the Kansas Fire Service Training Commission, the governing body for the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute (KFRTI).
